Tanya Perez

Born in New York, raised in Florida, this gal started her stage career at the ripe age of three with her first dance recital in the prestigious Carnie Hall. After moving to the Sunshine State and performing over a hundred more dance concerts, she was plucked off her pirouette to do her first speaking role in the The Wizard of OZ. Then was featured in a few episodes of The Mickey Mouse Club. Fast Forward to College: She went to Florida State University, where she was the first freshman to appear on its Mainstage. She shortly became the muse of several student directors at its Film College, giving her the taste she needed of what lied ahead.

Back to New York. Some of her New York credits include: performances at P.S.122 and HereArts Center, shows at the Fringe, created a show for the Limelight, a few solo performance art pieces curated by OM yoga and Dixon Place, was in a short film called 'Fly Trap' that won the Slam Dunk Award from Sundance, several sold-out shows with TheAtrainplays, musical revues for The Bridge Company and a current favorite, a part in Hal Hartley's newest film 'The Girl From Monday'.

A few of her recent Regional Theatre Credits include Seattle Rep's production of 'Anna in the Tropics' and Contemporary American Theater Festivals World Premiere of Lydia Stryk's war at home play 'American Tet' and Melinda Lopez' new play 'Sonia Flew'.

Now she wants to sink her teeth into with something that has to do with ''Lights! Camera! Action!''
